Wetlands and Plants

The study of wetlands and plants comprises a significant portion of our work, and we have conducted hundreds of studies throughout the Pacific Northwest. We are skilled in making wetland determinations under a variety of circumstances, including in areas that have been severely disturbed.

Services include:

  • Mitigation plans
  • Habitat assessments
  • Wetland delineations
  • Post-construction monitoring and reporting
  • Permit acquisition
  • Habitat restoration
  • Project impact assessment
  • Nocturnal and diurnal studies
  • Identification of birds by their calls
  • Trapping and banding experience

Our familiarity with local Sensitive and Critical Areas Ordinances enables us to rate and classify wetlands, assess project impacts, and determine buffer and compensatory mitigation ratio requirements.

We also provide wetland mitigation banking services and design constructed wetlands for water quality improvement.

Our Wetlands Specialists have expertise in botany, soils, and water quality, allowing us to provide a full range of wetland services.
